To Psaraki, the Santorini hidden gem

In such a touristic area, you expect to eat crap. You did not completely wrong, regarding the majority of restaurants in Santorini. But there are also some hiddden gems, just take your car and go a little further.

With Metaxy Mas and its wonderful house wine for 8.50 euros, To Psaraki is one of the best secrets of the extremely touristic island. This is something very simple : a restaurant, a few tables in a terrace and a few others that overlook the port of Vlychada. Again, it is far away from the cliffs of Oia or Fira, but so many wonderful dishes under the arbor...

Grilled octopus, a fish carpaccio, a few slices of zucchini, sardines...

Everything is fresh, homemade, that is to say : the eggplant caviar and taramosalata do not come out of a 10-liter pot prepared in the suburbs of Athens or Thessaloniki.

The follwing evening, my ugly pictures not fail to trivialize these stuffed vine leaves and this olive-capers squid stew, certainly one of the best dish of my year.
